Honestly, I don’t know how (or why) she puts up with him.
I think you have to consider all trips away an excuse for a jolly-up.
That it is without family just makes it a slightly different kind of jolly-up.

Mind you, I’ve had trips away to project meetings that never left the airport. The conference rooms were in Munich airport, and we ate in the restaurant overlooking people on their way to the checkin area.
We still however managed to drink a fair amount of German lager which sort of proves my point? Plus we were talking about making robots. Happy days.
