Software these days is so complex, there are a million different ways to obfuscate what is going on under the shiny surface.

I mean, do you really know what data has been stored and where?

If you clear the cache, does it really do that, or send a copy of the data to the NSA to peruse at their will?

The only solution is not to use the software in the first place.
